Ageli Chardonnay by Lykos Winery is a white wine with rich texture, ripe fruit and an elegant oak-aged character. It comes from organically grown Chardonnay and shows the variety in a fuller, more gastronomic expression, without losing its freshness.
Ageing in new French oak barrels gives the wine volume, a buttery feel and a more complex aromatic profile. In the glass, it brings citron, bergamot, peach, vanilla, honey, butter, hazelnut, toast and a subtle smoky note.
On the palate, it is rich, balanced and full, with medium to full structure, fresh acidity and a long, creamy finish. It is not an overly heavy Chardonnay; it has depth and oak, but keeps clarity and a beautiful flow in the glass.
It pairs very well with fatty fish, salmon, shrimp with butter, chicken with creamy sauces, mushroom risotto, seafood pasta, white meats, soft cheeses and dishes with butter or gentle spices.
