Plagios White Biblia Chora Estate

Plagios White by Biblia Chora Estate is the richer and more gastronomic side of white wine from Pangaio. Based on Chardonnay, with the estate’s characteristic care in its low-yield vineyards, it appears in the glass with volume, finesse and a lovely oak signature that does not cover the fruit.

In the glass it has a straw-yellow colour with green highlights and reveals ripe yellow fruit, apricot, melon, pineapple, citrus zest, flowers, vanilla, cedar and hazelnut praline. Fermentation and ageing in oak barrels on the lees give it creamy texture, depth and a more complex character, while acidity keeps the wine lively and balanced.

On the palate it is dry, full-bodied and elegantly generous, with richness, freshness and a long finish that leaves fruit, honey, vanilla and nuts. Let it breathe a little and place it next to oily fish, chicken with creamy sauce, risotto, pasta with mushrooms, seafood with butter or mature cheeses. A white wine with depth and style, for tables that call for something more substantial than a simple refreshing glass.
