Laoutari Matsa Estate
€14,90
Laoutari by Matsa Estate is a dry white wine PGI Pallini, made from Assyrtiko, Roditis and Sauvignon Blanc, bringing together three different sides of the Attic vineyard. Assyrtiko gives nerve and structure, Roditis adds softer fruit and ease, while Sauvignon Blanc brings aromatic intensity and a fresh, herbal character.
It comes from the organic vineyards of Matsa Estate in Kantza, Attica, in a dry Mediterranean climate that helps the varieties keep clarity and balance. Each variety is vinified separately, with fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 16°C, while Sauvignon Blanc undergoes brief pre-fermentation cold maceration. The final blend remains for 6 months on fine lees with gentle batonnage, gaining a fuller texture without losing its freshness.
In the glass, it brings lemon, lemon zest, pear, citrus fruit, white-fleshed fruit and subtle herbal notes. On the palate, it is fresh, clean and balanced, with medium body, refreshing acidity and a pleasant finish.
It pairs very well with green salads, light seafood, fried Mediterranean mezedes, fish, Greek vegetable dishes cooked in olive oil, white cheeses and dishes with a lemony character. It is a white wine that is easy to enjoy on its own as an aperitif, but also has enough intensity to stand beautifully next to an everyday meal.
