Fleva Syrah 1.5lt by Domaine Skouras is an expressive Magnum dry red wine with the designation PGI Peloponnese, which highlights with intensity and depth the character of 100% Syrah. It comes from Mountainous Achaia at an altitude of approximately 650 meters, while the Magnum version appears on the market in a 1.50 L bottle and with the recently available 2024 vintage.
In the glass, it shows a deep, almost opaque red color, while on the nose aromas of blackberry, black cherry, plum, together with notes of spices, black pepper, licorice, clove, thyme, bay leaf, truffle, and dark chocolate, stand out. On the palate, it is complex, with volume, tension, acidity, and ripe tannins, offering a long and dense finish.
Fleva Syrah 1.5lt is vinified with alcoholic fermentation and extraction in stainless steel tanks, post-fermentation extraction, completion of malolactic fermentation in barrels, and sur lie maturation for 12 months in new oak barrels. It is an ideal choice for those seeking a Greek dry red wine with power and aging potential. It pairs beautifully with mature grilled red meats and intense game dishes. Its alcoholic strength for the standard label is given as 15% vol.
