Philotheros Red by Kainas Winery is a dry red wine from PGI Atalanti Valley, made from Merlot and Syrah. It has a deep ruby colour and an expressive bouquet of ripe plum, fig, chocolate and toasted nut notes.
Twelve months of barrel ageing add depth and texture while allowing the fruit to remain at the centre. Velvety and balanced on the palate, it combines gentle tannins, refreshing acidity and a long finish. Bottled unfiltered, it preserves the natural character of the blend.
Enjoy it with beef, lamb, game, rich tomato-based dishes, cured meats and mature cheeses. Best served at 16–18°C.
