Chrysos Leon Red Nico Lazaridi

Gold Lion Red by Nico Lazaridi is a Cabernet Sauvignon from Pangaio with pure fruit, soft structure and a more modern, direct mood. It does not try to become heavy or overworked; it keeps the variety in a more enjoyable, everyday version, with enough intensity for the table and enough freshness to open easily.

In the glass it has a deep purple colour and reveals red fruit, black cherry, smoke, chocolate and black pepper. Vinification works towards a balanced, approachable Cabernet, with round tannins and a lovely fruity flow, without exaggeration in oak or power.

On the palate it is dry, balanced and soft, with medium acidity, noble tannins and a pleasant spicy finish. Bring it out at a table with minced meat dishes, pasta with red sauce, burgers, grilled meats, sausages, pizza or yellow cheeses. A red wine that fits easily into everyday life, but also has enough style not to feel simply basic.
