The Riesling by Papargyriou Estate is one of the winery’s freshest and most exciting moves, except that here the excitement has real substance. It comes from a vineyard plot at 950 meters in Rodofili, Sofiana, with northern exposure, ferments with indigenous yeasts, is bottled unfiltered, and is released in only 650 bottles. On the nose it plays with night-blooming flower, jasmine, and lemon zest, while on the palate it has balance, a crisp finish, and a sense of purity that makes it incredibly enjoyable now and very promising for the coming years.
