Amphora Daphne Noir by Koukos Winery explores the dry side of Mavrodaphne, focusing on its fruit and herbal character. Fermentation with native yeasts and the use of clay amphora provide an interesting starting point for this red wine from Achaia.

Cherry, sour cherry and plum combine with bay leaf, tea notes and subtle earthy touches. On the palate, silky tannins and juicy fruit make it particularly enjoyable alongside food. Try it with chicken in tomato sauce, beef patties or octopus with short pasta. Serve at 14–16°C.
